Special Study Circles to build brotherhood and sisterhood through our unique Tarbiya process.
Dear brothers and sisters… We are inviting you to participate in MAS’ unique Tarbiya Program. In the coming weeks, we will start the “Usra” program. The word “Usra” for those who are unaware means “Family.” As part of this program, brothers and sisters will be in a study circle to promote brotherhood and sisterhood, while expanding on our knowledge base.
The goals of the program are as follows:
1. To improve your relationships with your fellow Muslim brother or sister (the circles are gender specific – brothers have one and sisters have one).
2. To improve your public speaking skills by having periodic assignments to present to your colleagues.
3. By listening to others and preparing yourself, you will increase your knowledge in Islam.
Below is a list of references, we are encouraging you to buy and keep as part of your library. If you are unable to purchase the books, team up with another brother or sister and purchase a set amongst yourselves and share.
The program is scheduled to begin:
Brothers – Sundays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm (starting March 25, 2012)
Sisters – Thursday from 7:30 to 9:00 pm (starting March 29, 2012)
